Jerry Springer

OK so a few posts back I posted an article about a sleezball who went to GA and slept with a young girl. If you recall this was the ex-husband of a lady I work with.

Update on her life:
Her 20 year old son moved to southern Ohio about 2 weeks ago (she cried all day)
NOW he got his girlfriend pregnant so she is crying again.

Her 16 year old daughter overdosed on some kind of drug and while in the hospital her pregnancy test came back positive.

To top it all of this lady just left her boyfriend and is attempting to move back to Geneva.

I'm glad my life is no where near this hectic!

Birthday

These are pics from Jared's Birthday at Cork's Wine Bar

Birthday Part 2

Managers are evil

We are having a Tail Gate Party at work to celebrate Labor Day. While this is a cool idea and we are all happy to get an hour or so of non-work time - the "fun" portion of this is gonna kill me.

For some reason mgt decided it would be a good idea for each department to put on a skit, dealing with football in some way. Let's just start out by me saying that I HATE skits. I think they are evil, evil ways of embarrassing people.

So my department leader thought it would be a good idea for us to do a concession stand. We are gonna have 2 girls speak in different languages and give out everything but what the customer asks for. Lucky me I'm just a customer.

On top of having to do the skit at all I have to come into work 30 min early to PRACTICE it.

I hate my life.

New Toy

These are my babies! I just took these pics with my brand new digital camera and I just had to share!!

Paused

That's is what seems to have happened to my promotion. We are waiting on final approval from the "big guys". The meeting that was supposed to happen on Friday never did...and my boss isn't here yet. I hate being in limbo...I was so looking forward to doing something different for a while.

Promoted

It's official - my new title is Reclamations Specialist. I created that myself. This comes with good news and bad news. The good news is that I no longer have to stare at audits all day long. The bad news is that I will spend A LOT more time on the phone.

I should have full details about the job tomorrow after the big bosses meet.

New Job For Me

Why is it I can get a mixer in like 400 colors but toaster ovens only come in 3 choices? I really want a red toaster oven to go in my kitchen but that doesn't seem to be possible. I located one on Amazon but it is no longer available :-(

That's it I'm gonna start designing my own appliances!

Explanation Please

Could someone please tell my why I have to run the air conditioning in the car, but at work I can't even keep my fingers warm? Is this ploy to try and make us work faster? All it makes me do it take more time trying to get warm!

Lameo

We just ordered a digital camera and I am SOO excited to get it! It's got 10x zoom, and a share doc and even a mini tripod. God it takes to little to make me happy!

This is the camera we got. We decided against the printer because it would cost about 40 cents per picture. I can take them to CVS or Wal Mart for about 29 cents.

Freaky

How weird is it that this FREAK is my coworkers ex-husband? To top it all off she was living with him at the time this all took place!

Great Start

You know it's not gonna be a good day when you arrive at work early only to discover that your computer won't turn on because it has no power. After about 8 min of playing with the power strip the IT guy is able to get it to come on...but everything is running SUPER SLOW. If this is how the whole day will be then I should've just stayed in bed!

Update on Life

Yay! It's fixed. I never realized how much I used the computer until it was gone. Because of the lack of computer we got lost going to the zoo (no directions) I almost lost a MK sale (no email) and most of all no pogo. What a sad time. :-(

Other then that life is going pretty well. The weekend was busy. I took Friday off to spend with my husband on his last day of vacation. We went to the zoo, which was better then I remember. As soon as I get the pics developed I will post some here...god I wish I had a digital camera.

On Sunday Rich played golf with my boss, he says it went well. Sam (my boss) said he was hilarious and he would like to do it again. Hopefully this can move my raise along in some way.

Today we had to dress up for work. I always hate it because they never introduce the guests so we are all uncomfortable for no major reason. Oh well such is life

I get my hair done tonight! Nicole at Francesco's salon is awsome!!

Sadness

Our home computer is broken. Don't ask me what happened I wasn't there. My husband was supposed to install new memory but he got the wrong one. After putting all the cables back he said it just clicked and then shut down. He then spent over 30 min with DELL technical service (which could be a whole post on its own) who have assertained that the motherboard is fried and they will send out a technician.

They were not able to schedule it right then so they are supposed to call him back and hopefully come out on Monday. All I can say is that they better pay for this. The computer is only 3 years old and we already had to replace the graphics card.

Adventures in babysitting

Rich and I watched 2 kids from my church on Monday night. Things we're going well until Cassie decided she wanted to wear my heels. This was seemingly innocent; but Rich then picked her up and tickled her so she kicked him right in the nuts! He's fine; but I have to admit I had a hard time not laughing about it.

This is an original Cassie. She says it's a picture of a spider web and our kitty.

I'm awsome!

What busy weekend. I took a cooking class, a rubber stamping class, my sister-in-law was in town and I had a housewarming party to attend.

The apple pie class was great! I have to say I think I made one of the best in the class. The only thing I need work on is cutting the apples. I was shaving them more then getting nice slices! Good thing my Mother-in-law was there to help me out. I won't give away all the secrets of the class, but they did tell us to put vanilla sugar in the crust; and to use several kinds of apples in the pie.

The stamp class was good too. It was funny..we made a card that fold out into a box. I was the only one who got it on the first try and when I opened it we figured out why - I have the same box sitting on my desk full of paperclips!!

The housewarming was nice, but all of our entertainment came from watching the neighbors across the street move in. I think they spent more time pruning the trees in the front yard then anything else!

Tonight my husband and I are babysitting. Hopefully I will have some cute stories to share tomorrow.
