Things You Should Know

Weird how the mind works - isn't it?

We just found out that my husband has bronchitis and possibly strep on top of his sinus infection. So now not only is he miserable and crabby but he can't take me to see Bob Saget tonight. A friend of our is going to take me, I appreciate it and I'm glad to be going but this is the first time I will have gone out alone with a man since I got married. I know nothing is going to happen but it just feels kind of wrong - like if I can't get a girlfriend to go then I shouldn't go or something.

Weekend update

On Friday a group of us went to Hilarities to hear a comedian. Don't ask me his name we won the tickets. He was quite funny but at times he talked WAY too fast or us to understand him.

After the show we ended up at Panini's in Willoughby. Not to much going on there - though Nancy did talk to some AWESOME guys at the bar!!

Here is a list of funny things said or heard that night:

1. Go tell them you can't decide which one you want more because of the matching shirts!

2. Who goes to Wendy's for kids meals with just a $100 bills?

3. OMG it's Kimmy Gibbler!!

4. You can only sit here if you touch my thigh (guy to guy!)

5. I only have 2 feelings: hungry and horny. If we aren't having sex make me a sandwich.

2 cows and a chicken, anyone?

So I've decided that I'm going to send all the bill collectors magic beans. I'm serious. No matter how hard we try to save money or pay extra on a credit card we end up getting screwed. So I'm gonna try a barter system of some sort. Supposedly they are all "people" too. Of this I'm not so sure but it is a good theory if nothing else.

Things I've learned so far today...

1. Hearing your boss talk about strippers, no matter what the context, is totally weird

2. Working on Friday after being off on Thursday should be a form of torture.

3. I love the song "Sugar, We're Going Down - and will sing along everything!

4. I have not taken enough road trips with my friends.

5. I'm not the only one who is super-excited that RENT it being made into a movie.

Why would someone do that?

  • Please Read

  • Why would they kill off the only woman the smurfs ever had??

Why would the "killing" of a cartoon spark someone to action?

Does anyone believe she really died?

Don't ask me why but this is what ran through my head when I read this bizarre article.

It's 2:00 and all is BORING!

I can't believe it's only 2pm! This day is literally taking forever! I think my boss stopped the clocks to try and get more work out of us. Little does he know that it doesn't matter how long the day is we will find a way around it!

OK so anyhow - Rich's grandparents anniversary party is on Saturday. I'm happy to be going because I really like the family but the party will be hard for me. It will be exactly 3 months to the day after the last of my grandparents passed. I know I'm supposed to move and on be happy for them but it just makes me want to cry. I hope there is some kind of alcohol at this place...Otherwise I may have to stop and grandma's for company cream!!

    Wanted: Knee Cap Breaker

I think its time to take action against the step-monster. Last week she skipped lunch because I was there, now she skipped church and she wants my dad to drop plans so they can go back early and check on her mom. The woman is in a wheelchair - where is she gonna go? She is alone at least 5 hours a day with no problems.

My dad seems so out of it..He spends all of his time working on the new computer he just built. Once it's running what is there to do with it???

If anyone has any connections or ideas of how to get rid of her I'm open - but I'm broke :-(

    First

Well I guess it had to happen. The first person in our department has put in their 2 weeks notice. With the move from Beachwood to Seven Hills I imagine the company will see more of this. It's a long drive in a lot of shitty traffic.

The worst part is she seemed to plan it too well. She is only working a half day today and she has "jury duty" the beginning of next week. It just seems way to convenient to me.

    WHORE!

This is what I want to tell my co-worker.

Our dress code is usually very relaxed, we can wear jeans and sandals etc. About one a month we get an email telling us that we will have visitors and proper business casual dress is required.

I would like to know how this allows my co-worker to wear a tank top that shows off her tattoo and no sweater?? I really don't think there is any excuse for this at all. Someone said "well, she's only 20". Does that excuse her?? I think not.

I'm sorry for my venting but when I was a temp here I NEVER would've done some of the things she has.

Why can't we all just get along?

I went to a going away party for my husband's friend on Saturday night. This guy and his girlfriend are moving to Boston in a week.

I think it was the most uncomfortable party I've ever been too. There was a clear division of groups, the bartender didn't want to be there, and the manager kept coming up to make sure we had enough people to keep it a private party.

The only good thing out of it was I discovered a new drink. 3 Olives cherry vodka and 7-up....mmm tasty!
