I confess...

That I am addicted to Christmas. I have scaled things back since marrying a man who once told me he hated Christmas.

So far the outside lights are up (first time I ever got to pick them!), the tree is up and will be decorated tonight and the rest of my Christmas figurines and doo dads are up as well.

My grandma used to make anywhere from 6-10 different kinds of cookies along with fruit cake (don't knock it unless you've actually tried it). With her gone I feel like I have to uphold that responsibility. My dad will be making 2 kinds of cookies and I think I agreed to make 4-6 - I can't quite remember.

I am also in charge of the church Holiday party (Holiday because we celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas at the same time). So far I have the tree up and decorated, the front of the church partially done, and on Sat I will be doing the party room including the table centerpieces.

I can't imagine how much more I will add when I have kids - but at least no one will call me crazy for getting up early Christmas morning then!


On a total side note as I was doing the spell check Blogger wanted to replace "fruitcake" with "britches". How is that even remotely the same?
