Craziness

What a weekend!! I feel like I never sat down!!

Friday afternoon we found out that Rich's grandma died so I took Monday off work for the memorial mass. That night I went scrapbooking with some friends/coworkers. It was awesome and we want to try and go once a month now.

Saturday Rich and I had lunch with the inlaws before mom and I went to have a mani/pedi day at the Brown Institute.

Sunday we had lunch with the inlaws at Yours Truly. Then I ran a few errand with my sis. After that Rich was off to a concert and I had dinner with the whole family at Bravo. It was a rather awkward night.

Monday morning was the memorial mass and then it was off to Rider's Inn for brunch. After that Rich and I crashed and just stayed in for the rest of the evening.

After scrapbooking my quest now is to find an inexpensive folding table that I can store behind the couch. So far the cheapest one I saw online was at Office Depot. Any ideas?

I must lead the most boring life ever

The highlights of my week so far are:
1. Getting free dinner from the in-laws
2. Playing board games until 11pm

Jeez I'm a giant dork!

Oh well this weekend is pretty quiet. I'm going scrapbooking on Friday night and I promised Rich I wouldn't spend too much money. It's so easy with everything right there!

Most people who have talked to me this week commented that I've been extra quiet and out of it...I finally figured out why. Rich's grandma is about to die...Not a sad occasion as she has wanted to go for about 10 years now and she's quite a bitch. The problem is that this reminds me of everything I went through less then a year ago for my own grandma. Oh well life must go on.

So I think my horoscope is making fun of me.

Dear Capricorn,
Here is your horoscope for Thursday, 16 March:

Hearts go pitter-patter whenever you walk by, so make sure you're out there strutting your stuff. Your charm is unusually potent right now, and you can get whatever you want just by batting your eyelashes.

Chance of a lifetime

So I just missed the "chance of a lifetime", Or so the lady on the phone wanted me to believe.

About a week ago I got a card in the mail that I had been chosen to possibly appear in Manchester's Who's Who. I'm all about people wanting to talk about thing I have done so I filled out the card and sent it in.

A lovely lady named Michelle called today to verify some things and ask some additional questions to see if I was right for inclusion. After answering her questions she said "Let me be the first to welcome you to the Manchester's Who's Who. Then she went on to list all of the things I would receive. This included a hardcover copy of the book, a personalized certificate, and access to their website for additional networking. THEN, the clincher - it costs money. Not a little but but $489 for 5 years of membership.

I asked if the bill would come with my packet or if I had to pay today. She said since everything is personalized they do ask for a credit card by phone. I told her I couldn't pay today and said listed the reason people join and then said "Don't you know WHO WE ARE?" I must not have cause I hung up on her!!!

If that's not a great start to the morning I don't know what is.
