I brought this album to work with me and now I'm on my third time listening to it!! I never thought I liked Johnny Cash but I had never heard his earlier music. I have to say I may choose this over Christmas music for the next few days!

I'm hosting a Pampered Chef party tonight. I'm excited because I'm finally going to have a good turnout for one of my parties. It looks like there will be 10-12 including my husband and I. Now I realized that I only have chairs and couches to hold 11 - so it may be a little cramped!! Oh well - It'll still be fun!

That's how I've felt the past two days at work. There are lunches and closed door meetings that all seem to involve new stuff. My new department isn't really created but I already feel like I'm just not part of anything. I'm sure I'm totally over-reacting but I just can't help it.

Thought I had lost it!

Don't you hate when you remember something but not all of it? My dad and I were discussing old TV Christmas specials and I recalled one that has stumped everyone I've asked. All I could remember was the mother worked at a bank or a grocery store and there was some kind of hold up. Then there was an angel who looked like a normal guy that helped the family. After searching for 80's TV Christmas Movies I was able to find it and discover that amazon sells it.

Office Space - Or Lack There Of

So not only is this is coolest grown-up toy ever it's a sample of what's happening at my work. Only what's happening here is worse. We are still waiting to move to our new building - in the mean time still growing. So the new guy in my department will now get a table that will block a hallway. I kinda feel bad for him but I'm also not sharing my cube!!

Idiots!

Can anyone tell me why it took over 20 minutes for me to go 3 miles down Lakeshore Blvd in Eastlake this morning? I didn't pass a single accident, or stalled car.

I know the most of these people have lived here for 20 years or so...Why must we freak out at the first sign of snow???

Unbelievable!

So the step monster totally showed up at church! I couldn't believe it when I saw her. She didn't sit with me - Thank God! I had a really hard time talking to her...I just wanted to say "Get out Bitch!" Unfortunately that wasn't an option.

One good thing out of this is that my dad keeps having us over for dinner because he's lonely. Between him and my in-laws I only ate at home once last week!!

Being an adult sucks

That's what I've decided.

My dad is about to get divorced...Which I'm actually quite happy about. The way it's affecting him is what's bothering me. We talked for about 2 hours last night about how he feels people at church will reject him; so much so that he turned in his priesthood card. He also brought up the fact that this is the first time in his entire life he's lived alone. Seeing your dad on the verge of tears when no one is dead is incredibly hard to deal with.

WTF?

OK so my dad just called me from work. The only times he's done that it's been bad news. I'm out of grandparents to loose so I knew it wasn't that. He actually started the conversation with "So, how's work?". Screw that tell me why you are trying to give me a heart attack!

It turns out he has finally decided he wants to divorce the monster!! (So he claims) He wanted me to go online and find forms for him (he doesn't have the money for a lawyer). I was in complete shock! I might go over there just to make sure he actually fills them out!!!!

Boredom and sickness...

What a bad combination.

I started getting sick early last week but held out on staying home until Thursday afternoon. While sitting home on Thursday and Friday I learned that I pay way too much for cable. There is absolutely nothing on during the day. The only bright spot was that I got to watch Oprah.

So in amongst being sick I listed a bunch of Mary Kay online...Little did I know that one of the lipsticks I listed was discontinued. So my 12 auctions that would usually bring in about $20-$25 brought in about $70!! I'll pay off my venture to a side job yet!

On a side note I think someone at Hilarities likes my husband. We went one time for Valentine's Day I think it was ever since then he wins free tickets. He just won his 3rd set of free tickets in less then a year! Oh well I will take the tickets and just hold on to my husband!

Help!

OK my husband and I have a bet of sorts going. He stated a music fact last night that I didn't know and he was totally shocked. I told him I'm sure I'm not the only one. So my goal now is to see if it's really just me or not.

Halloween 2005

I had my very first trick-or-treaters last night. I tried to keep count so I know how much candy to have for next year...I think 55 is what I came up with. Not a bad # for being so close to a main street.

We had a couple of really cute kids. One was a little girl about 10 months old...She had the curliest hair! So cute. The other one was a little boy about 4, he came dressed as Spider Man. When I got to the door he was screaming "mosquito's!!" His mom is on the street saying "get back there, you're Spider Man!!" It was so funny. As soon as I shut the door Rich said what the mom must have been thinking "Stop being a little pussy!!"

All in all a pretty good night.
