I just learned

Where I stand. My boss' usual lunch companion is unavailable. When that happens he always asks Kim to lunch but today she couldn't go...Then he went through 2 more in our department before he got a "yes". So at least 3 people in our department are above me in the way of favorites - not sure I ever wanted to know that.
