The Dreaded Tax Man

We had our taxes done this morning and let me just tell you it sucked!

After finding out that we were getting a whopping $235 back from the federal government they go on to tell us that it cost $199 for them to file for us. So all in all it was a very shitty morning but at least we don't owe thousands of $$$$.

On a good note "operation procreation" starts today. Rich found out that we get a $1000 deduction automatically for having a baby and that was enough to push him over the top on the baby decision, :-)

So yes be on the look out for a little Lloyd.

I don't understand people at all. I had a half pound of turkey lunch meat in our fridge at work and now it's gone. It's not like I left in there for a week or anything. I brought it in on Wednesday and made a sandwich. I went out for lunch on Thursday and when I went to add the rest of my lunch to it on Friday morning it was gone.

How can you be that desperate?

I really hope that none of the networks pick-up this show. After 15 years does anyone really care if they reconcile or not??

At our company party on Friday I won 2 tickets to see Love, Janis at the Playhouse and last night I won CAVS tickets on the radio.

The seats for the CAVS aren't the great but they are free and it's something to do on a Tuesday night!

Does anyone know....

Of a club that someone under 30 can join where they won't throw off the median age by at least 20 years?

I looked into the photography club in Mentor and from the group photo they all had to be at least 50.

The local chapter of the Crochet Guild meet at an assisted living home...That just totally freaks me out.

These are of course not my only interests...But there don't seem to be any clubs for people who like to cook - without taking a class. I also have no kids - which at my age most people do.

Basically I need more friends - or at least people to hang with.

Laughed my ass off

So last night my husband and I discovered "Dating on Demand". For those of you who have Comcast Digital Cable you can also experience these freaks of nature.

They are 2-4 minute dating videos, and they have also put together blooper reel. The things these people will say on camera is amazing!!

There was one guy whose title was "Handsome and knows it...". I had my husband play that and I actually screamed the guy was so ugly!!

I have to say next to American Idol try outs (which I can now TiVo) this will be my new "cheer-up comedy"!

I did something kinda stupid

So I know I'm not pregnant and I'm jumping the gun but I fell in love with this baby bedding. It's no longer carried in the stores (believe me, I checked Target, Amazon, and every Disney sight I could find). So I won it on eBay.

At least we can use it for a boy or a girl.

Will anyone stay?

We found out last night that more of our friends are moving out of state. This time it's to Colorado. We already have one friend in Boston, and another set in Washington. Plus, Rich's sister is in PA and looking pretty much everywhere but OH (this isn't her fault she has to go where the jobs are).

I guess I just don't see why everyone wants to leave to badly. Ohio actually has a lot to offer. I mean where else can you get all 4 seasons in one day?

Craziness

So my husband has a new job. This all happened in about 20 hours.

1. He called to tell me all the salesmen were being put on straight commission as of Jan 13th. That freaks me out cause if he has a bad week there is no money at all.

2. He asks if it would be ok to consider the internet sales job because it's a salary. He fails to mention what salary.

3. He tells me that his "current" boss will pay him to go to the internet department and that they are talking to the HR guy to get additional money.

4. He tells me that he is all confused and doesn't know what to do because his current boss thinks he will still have control.

5. He comes home and tells me that he starts tomorrow. The pay is less but the hours are WAY better.

6. He calls me while I'm having dinner at his parents house to explain his pay set-up to me because it's different then what he expected.

So after all of this, which I have no control over, he has the job. He now will only work late once a week and he will finally get weekends! We'll probably want to kill each other at first but it will be great for when we start a family.
