Why can't people just do their own job??

So today marks day #4 that I am putting out fires because on other people's work. Apparently whatever contractors we hire to do physical audits are complete morons! I have received 8 phone calls in 4 days all from the same agent. She is getting complaints from her clients about our auditors.

I want to fix her problem but we subcontract all of these audits out. So I laugh at how stupid and rude these people are and then all I can do is pass it on to my boss. I just hope we don't start losing customers over this.

Best Make-up Ever

Nancy and I went and had mini-makeovers at MAC cosmetics. It is awsome. I could totally blow a whole paycheck there! Now I just need to figure out how to make blue eyeshadow not look like 1984.
Please forgive the pics I had to do them myself.

Star

This little guy was the star of my church clam bake on Saturday. As you can see from the pics he preferred Nancy's spaghetti to the clams!

This is the beautiful little church we found in the middle of Michigan Ave. Isn't the architecture incredible?

My new favorite city

So as most of you know my husband and I went to Chicago this past weekend. It was awesome!!

We didn't do near as much as we should've...But we can always go back! Our hotel was only 1 block from Michigan Ave so we basically shopped for 2 days! I have to say that it was much safer and less congested than I was expecting for a big city. The food was incredible but expensive. I think we only had one meal for under $30.

I only took one picture the entire time. Michigan Ave is really just stores and restaurants, but right in the middle is this little stone church with a courtyard. I will be sure to post that picture tonight.

While there I did get to see my first street performers...Rich was bored but I thought they were pretty cool. The best one was what looked like a popcorn cart, there were tons of lights and music and as we got closer we discovered it was a puppet show! Rich has video of that on his phone.

I'm sure this doesn't sound like much but it was the most time my husband and I have spent together since we got married.

Frustration

I went to Mentor Marc's yesterday with a SUPER short list of things to pick up. There were some food products and replacement blades for my husband's razor.

I found all of the food no problem. I then find my way to "men's grooming" as the aisle is called. There I discover that I can get actual razors but no refill blades. Just as I'm about to scream I see a sign above the display that tells me refills are in cosmetics. I work my way to cosmetics (which is in the worst corner of the store). After what seems like 15 minutes of walking up and down the same aisle I finally see that what I want is kept behind the counter with the designed imposter perfumes. After getting the girl to grab them for me she asks if I want to pay there. I tell her "NO".

She then informs me of the DUMBEST policy ever: If I don't pay there she has to take them to customer service and tell them my name. When I go to check-out my checker will then go an retrieve them for me (as if Marc's isn't slow enough!). So I ask if I can check out there since I only have 6 items. She rolls her eyes at me and says "I would, but I don't know the price of the carrots you have". So then I go digging for cash and she says " I guess I could call and ask".

So after 18 minutes at Marc's I finally get to leave with my two bags that cost me $17 and almost cost that checker her life!

OMG

So I totally have the best carpool!! Yesterday I put in a special request to listen to 96.5 so I could try and win Gewn Stefani tickets. Since I didn't win yesterday they all helped me call today and I won 3rd row tickets!!
The concert isn't until December, but I'm super excited. I've never been that close to the stage before!

Step-monster

We are celebrating my dad's birthday tomorrow. I'm cooking him dinner. Now you would think "aww how nice". Unfortunately his wife, who I call the "step-monster" has to come too. I'm not usually a mean or violent person but I really want to punch this woman in the face.

Now, my dad has told me that they will fight on the way home because it's been a week since his actual birthday and she never said "Happy Birthday". I should be freaked out by this but I'm hoping this will be the fight that ends it all!!

For those of you who are completely confused - join the rest of us. They have been married about a year and a half and for at least 9 months of that time they have been living in separate houses. Confusing and totally weird?? Yep.

Does anyone have a brain?

Why do people proclaim I don't care what people think?? If you are asking opinions then you obviously do.

This is going on at my church. We are planning an event the girl in charge of the flier asks how it looks and someone tells her what is wrong with it. Later she pulls me aside to tell me how rude that person was. If you truly don't care then stop asking people!!!!

My love of BBC

So here it is Labor Day and I'm sitting home wishing I had tons of antiques to sell at auction. Cash in the Attic on BBC is all that seems to be keeping me sane...or maybe not!!

Now that that is over I'm watching my SATC dvd's and trying to think of what to do for the rest of the day...

Rigged!

OK, our skit competition here at work was totally rigged!!

The skit that won had one announcer who read from paper...everyone else just stood around. That is total BS. We actually had a 5 page script and memorized it to the best of our abilities in one week.

At least we have awsome pics that I will be posting tonight!!
